Description
Cadillac Ranch is a shrine to roadside culture jutting out of a pasture just off Old Route 66 (now I-40) just west of Amarillo Texas. Created by eccentric billionaire Stanley Marsh and experimental architects Ant Farm in the 1970s, it now attracts visitors from the world over who make the pilgrimage to make it their own using spraypaint to graffiti anything they want the world to know all over the ten 1948-1964 Cadillacs buried nose-down in the dirt. The result is a bright cacophony of color, constantly changing, dripping in thick coats of hardened paint. It is never the same, but it persists as a cathedral of american pop culture, resonating around the world. Own a piece for yourself.
