This pencil of "Calf Roper", nice action for sure in your drawing of calf roping, as the roper is swinging his loop while riding a horse at full speed, and he sure looks like a real rodeo roper? John, was this one done from a photograph at an outdoor rodeo or an indoor rodeo in the sunlight or at night, and what year did you draw that one, was it 2009 or 2007 or what year? Does this calf roper lasso this calf or does he miss it, as if how many swings is it taking the roper to rope this calf, is it probably one or two or three or four swings to rope that calf, that's what I would like to really know? If he lassoes that calf, how many wraps does he tie up this calf's legs with, does he put one or two or three wraps around the legs, and is he probably making a great good run? William MacLeod :)

Wow, what a wonderful comment Anne. I am really focusing on Rodeo art. I just love all the action and trying to capture it in my art.

This drawing is as good as anything I have seen displayed in the Whitney Gallery of Western Art in Cody, Wyoming. Simply stunning!
