I bought this tapestry for my mother who is in the final stages of lung caner. I wanted to brighten her room and bring her some cheer. I paid extra to have it shipped Next Day Air. We received the package 5 days after ordering. However, I was very diappointed at the taperstry when I opened it. It is very blurry and distorted. The fabric is OKAY somewhat thin, but not terrible. I have ordered many tapestries from another company recently as Christmas gifts for 1/2 the price that are way better quality and very clear and vibrant. I will not order again from Fine Art America....

Excellent quality. I am so pleased with my purchase, it's much better than I imagined. The image is crisp clear and the fabric is very good quality and hemmed all around. I have bought it to hang in my apartment in Tenerife which we have called The Kestrels as these birds fly and hover around it all day. I can't wait to return and hang it on the wall.

This is becoming the focal point of a four poster bed canopy.

It’s been almost two months and I still haven’t gotten my package after contacting Fine Art America multiple times. Would not buy from them again.

Is so perfect the way that this tapestry fits my bedroom wall! Love it

Artist's Description

The street is Calle del 5 de Mayo, or said another way, cinco de Mayo, the fifth of May. The city is Oaxaca, Mexico. On the old stones of this wall, an older tile sign can be read only in part, while the new one points the way with an arrow to the street named. The date memorializes the Mexican Army's victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862 (it is not Mexican Independence Day). In the United States, the day is often a general celebration of Mexican culture.
