We humans tend to think that we are the only creatures on this planet that show emotions. I ran across this touching scene of a male African Spoonbill caring for his expectant mate at Walt Disney's Animal Kingdom.
The African Spoonbills [Platalea Alba] is a long legged wading bird whose body is mostly white, except for its red legs, face, and its uniquely spoon-shaped bill. [It is born with a short beak that develops into its spoon-like shape by the time the young bird leaves the nest and starts to fly.]
Mated pairs share the duties of building the nest and incubating the eggs. Then, both Parents care for the hatchlings until they are ready to leave the nest.
