Another painting in a series that I did where the canyon tapers out to beautiful rolling grasslands just a few miles from my studio. In the spring, if there has been sufficient late rains, the wildflowers bloom and carpet the hills and slopes of the canyon, creating a visual spectacle. It was one such spring when I painted this in oils.
