Now that is quite a story, Rick. You were certainly lucky. I went to Thor's Well last fall with a friend who lives in Eugene. She cautioned me repeatedly how dangerous it could be. Regardless, I went close to the edge ( not high tide) with about a hundred other photographers, while she cautiously stood back. Guess who was the only person who got soaked? You got it, it was my friend. A hundred of us had a good laugh and the picture I took of her soaking wet that day, blurry and tilted, has proven to be one of the most popular I have posted on FB,

About Acrylic Prints

Acrylic Print with Mounting Posts

Mounting Option #1

Acrylic Print with Hanging Wire

Mounting Option #2

Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of an acrylic print.   Your image gets printed directly onto the back of a 1/4" thick sheet of clear acrylic.

The image is the art - it doesn't get any cleaner than that!

All acrylic prints ship within 3 - 4 business days and arrive "ready to hang" with four aluminum mounting posts (Option #1) or hanging wire (Option #2).

The high gloss of the acrylic sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

There are two different ways to mount your acrylic print.

Option #1 (Mounting Posts) - Attach your print to your wall with four aluminum mounting posts.   The cylindrical cap of each mounting post can be removed, allowing you to thread a small screw along the center axis of the of post and into the wall.   When you're finished, simply reattached each cap, and you're done.   The mounting posts act as stand-offs and keep your print separated from the wall by 1".   All of the required mounting hardware (i.e. posts, screws, and wall anchors) is included with your print.   Click here for mounting details.

Option #2 (Hanging Wire) - With this option, your acrylic print is attached to a 1/4" thick black board which has a wooden frame and hanging wire attached to the back.   There are no metal mounting posts at the corners.   Simply put a nail in your wall, hang your print from the hanging wire, and you're done.   Due to the thickness of the black board and mounting frame, your print is separated from the wall by 1.50"   Click here for mounting details.

Artist's Description

Thor￿s Well. So much to be said about this location. Thor￿s Well, located in Florence, Oregon near Cape Perpetua, is a gaping sinkhole in Cook￿s Chasm along the Oregon coast and is considered a natural wonder of the world (according to the internet). It is also known as Spouting Horn. At high tide or during winter storms, waves hitting the Well can reach in excess of 20 feet. This is a beautiful location and extremely dangerous (I know firsthand). As you can see by the image, sharp rocks are everywhere and a strong surge of water (sneaker wave) can suck you down into the abyss if you are too close to the well during high tide. Those of you who know me and have been following me on FACEBOOK (Through Rick￿s Lens), know I had a close call while shooting this location. First, this image was captured when we initially arrived late afternoon in December 2013. I was traveling with very good friends and fellow photographers, Bernard (Buddy) Chen and Frankie...

About Rick Dunnuck

Rick Dunnuck

I have had a camera for as long as I can recall, and have taken snapshots equally as long. It was not until March of 2013 that I became obsessed with landscape photography. I have never truly experienced a sunrise/sunset, or listened to the roar of a raging waterfall until my first outing in the Monongahela National Forrest (Canaan Valley) in West Virginia. Ever since then I have been captivated by the beauty of the outdoors and the power and artistry of Mother Nature. I hope you enjoy my images and just know there is an amazing trail of experiences behind each one. I reside in Woodbridge, VA and jump at every opportunity to travel with my camera and tripod.
