Description
This painting was inspired from my love of a plant based diet. Carciofo is Italian for artichoke. Many of the European names for artichoke are derived from medieval Arabic. I chose to give the composition an iconic feel because the artichoke is native to the Mediterranean and was first used by the ancient Greeks and Romans. I was moved to depict the carciofo dancing as it offers itself to us as a delicious and nutritional food.
