'Caribbean Dream' was created as a gift, a representation of my incredible appreciation for the generosity I received from the individuals at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium (GCA). I grew up just outside of Cleveland, Ohio, roughly 500 miles from the nearest ocean. During my schooling, I was not only given the opportunity to work at this amazing facility, but was given encouragement to follow my dreams and grow into the person I am today. They encouraged and nurtured my passion for art, lending advice and opportunity and every turn.
This painting has become a collection of the various marine species that flood my memories from the time that I spent at the GCA, including butterflyfish, angelfish, sand tiger sharks, groupers, snapper, jacks, and a slurry of other species which call the Caribbean Sea home. This piece will forever hold a special place in my life, and I hope that you too will make it a part of yours.
