I’m very pleased with my Back2bike bag from artist John Kurtyka. The bag is high quality so it holds my library books quite securely. And since I’m a bike rider, I love the picture, so unique, people notice it and comment so I tell them about this website and the unique works of this artist.

Gorgeous photo on the bag. Loved that I could adjust the photo size to suit my preference. Wanted to use for going to the health food store as I need to replace the 15 year old canvas, washable bags I have now. These will not last as long as those canvas bags. I could even deal with slight fading when I needed to wash them. These do not feel washable. Cheap mesh "fabric" on the interior will tear. Disappointed in the fabric on the inside and outside.

I was hoping for a heavyweight cotton canvas bag to use for grocery shopping; this will not be it. I wanted a bag that would be washable. This has a cheap mesh fabric on the interior that will tear in short order. The exterior is some sort of nylon or other synthetic fabric that I do not feel comfortable washing. I guess I didn't realize what kind of fabric it was made of. It is beautiful but not useful for my needs.

I wanted some pretty tote canvas tote bags to replace the durable canvas bags I use for trips to the health food store. While certainly beautiful, this bag will not be useful for that purpose. The interior is made of that lightweight, cheap mesh fabric that tears with the slightest bit of stress on it. I was hoping for heavy canvas, but this is an odd fabric that will not hold up for what I wanted to use it for.

Artist's Description

Carolus Linneaus, also known as Carl von Linne, a Swedish bontanist, physician and zoologist is best know for laying the foundation for the modern biological naming scheme of classification and naming of plants referred to as binomial nomenclature, genus and species. It was at Uppsala University he built his career and notoriety, publishing books and lecturing in botany and zoology. Linneaus also was a friend of Anders Celsius, an astronomy professor at Uppsala University and creator of the temperature scale. After Celsius died Linneaus convinced scholars to REVERSE the scale to its current standard of 0 degrees C being freezing and 100 degrees C being the boiling point. sius

About Jon Berghoff

Jon Berghoff has been a photo enthusiast since childhood when he received his first camera, a Kodak Brownie, as a holiday gift. Through the years he learned photography and pursued the hobby to the extent that he included darkrooms in several homes he owned. While raising a family and pursuing a real estate sales career took most of his efforts, Jon was always there with a camera for the vacations and family events. The onset of the "computer era" brought another hobby interest and the birth of the digital camera brought together a combination of technologies that could not be resisted. Now in retirement Jon has more time to enjoy and pursue the various intricacies of digital photography, HDR, Photoshop and Lightroom integrating the...
