The beach towel is really just for laying on inasmuch as it is too big and heavy to put around your body, which is just fine. The artwork in it is beautiful. I can't wait to use it.

Wow - I didn't realise it was going to be that big! It's a gift for a young member of the family - I think he'll be thrilled as he's a tractor fanatic at 6 years old. A practical gift too. The towel has a smoother upper side so it'll be more comfortable to sit on at the beach. It seems to have a thick absorbent power so no usual skinny beach towel.

As a young girl Barbara would visit a secluded site in the woods neighboring her upstate New York home to observe and sketch birds in their natural habitat. She attended the State University of New York at New Paltz and the University of New York at Albany. At New Paltz, Barbara studied under George Wexler and Sheldon Schoenberg whom she credits with teaching her the fundamentals of drawing (Prof Schoenberg told his students if they couldn’t learn to “see” they would never be artists.) She credits this with providing her the foundation for her paintings. While...
