Cascade Creek Under the Bridge. Once again another image of my private little spot in Yosemite National Park. It's obviously not my private spot but it seems secluded enough. I've never seen anyone else down here. I guess it's just a matter of luck as there is a well worn unofficial hiking trail down to this spot. I think most people don't realize you can get down here or just don't know how to get down here or don't have the confidence in themselves to make the short hike down the steep mountainside. To be clear, it is not the safest place to hike if you are a clutz or are unsure of yourself. On the other hand, it's nail biting extreme either. You just have to have a good awareness about you and don't do anything foolish. Once down here the crowds and the cars just seem to disappear even though the highway and the parking lot are less than 100 feet away.
