Cassis is a lovely little Mediterranean fishing village on the southern coast of France.
It is surrounded by white chalky cliffs, called calanques, which are a popular destination for short scenic sightseeing cruises from the little port.
This photograph shows several colorful fishing boats moored in the Provence town's picturesque harbor.
The harbor has numerous lovely shops and seafood restaurants. There are park benches along the waterfront where one is likely to see children playing or old French men playing a game of petanque.
My love of photography grew out of capturing images from my travels, so photographs of beautiful and interesting places comprise a large portion of my portfolio. I am a Southern girl, and love the beauty that is in my back yard, so there are also lots of images from close to home. These include images of our beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, which I visit any time I can! I also enjoy capturing images of interesting flora and fauna, and wildlife images I am able to capture with my newest telephoto lens! I am a painter, as well as a photographer, and offer galleries of paintings and mixed media pieces. My interest in traditional art has spilled over to my post processing of photographs, and in addition to images with minimal post...
