The beach towel is really just for laying on inasmuch as it is too big and heavy to put around your body, which is just fine. The artwork in it is beautiful. I can't wait to use it.

Wow - I didn't realise it was going to be that big! It's a gift for a young member of the family - I think he'll be thrilled as he's a tractor fanatic at 6 years old. A practical gift too. The towel has a smoother upper side so it'll be more comfortable to sit on at the beach. It seems to have a thick absorbent power so no usual skinny beach towel.

Photography has been in my life since my first "Brownie" camera as a pre teenager. I have always been the so called "Photographic Historian" for my family through the years. During the 70s I purchased my first serious camera at the PX at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, NE. It was an Olympus OM-1 SLR film camera that was only manual. Equipped with a 50mm lens I learned about exposure, shutter speed, and film speed (now ISO) by taking photographs of an object over and over, each with different settings, writing it all down, and then sending the film away to be processed.
