B&W really suits this refurbished wooden grist mill structure from so many years ago, Chalet!!! F&V!

Thank you, Mary.

Wonderfully detailed and composed black and white. Perfect for subject matter from the last century. It makes it seem as though we are peeking back in time. VF

I am in love with "My Tropical Kitchen" purse. I also am deeply dissatisfied however, that there is no mention of Jade Moon's name on the product. Her work is more than worthy of her name to be associated with her beautiful products. People constantly mention that my purse is beautiful as I display it on a counter at a point of sale. I have to tell them whose work it is. Everyone recognizes her name. Jade Moon deserves recognition for her talent as an artist; her name should be on the product. PX Pixels is meaningless to me. I wish it wasn't sewed in to the seam. I am so proud of my "My Tropical Kitchen" purse. I bought it for myself on my 80th birthday. I would be thrilled if Jade could autograph it for me. I am sorry I have no means to take or send a photo.

FAA watermark will NOT appear on artwork purchases. Published in the Salal Review 2009. Lower Columbia Community College. Longview, WA. The Cedar Creek Grist Mill rests on a steep and rocky slope at the bottom of a narrow gorge. It is the only grain grinding mill in Washington that has maintained its original structural integrity, grinds with stones and is water powered. George Woodham and his two sons built the water powered mill in 1876. Families throughout north Clark County brought their grain to the mill to be ground into flour or livestock feed. According to an old newspaper article, debris in the swiftly flowing creek damaged the dam that first winter. In any case, Woodham moved away in 1879, taking all the equipment with him. Mike Lynch bought the mill but it sat for seven years until he leased it to Gustave Utter. At that time a log dam was constructed about eighty feet upstream. Utter built a flume and installed the Leffel turbine, which is still in use today. The mill q...

About Chalet Roome-Rigdon

Chalet Roome-Rigdon

I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and was introduced to photography as a child. At age 10, I received my first camera, a Polaroid point and shoot which I used during family outings and trips. My Grandfather taught me a lot about taking photos, composition, lighting, etc. and I have fond memories of our various photo shoots together. He will be greatly missed as he passed away at the age of 91 in 2015. Relocated to Billings, MT. from Oregon in August of 2015. I'm mostly self taught and a vast majority of my images come from experiences, experimentation, feelings, and things I have learned over the years. I draw inspiration from the things around me. I utilize the natural light and rarely use flash photography. I...
