Celebration Hoboken #1 by Regina Geoghan. A photograph of a small section of a large mural celebrating 50 years of Hoboken history. Located at the northeast section of the city near the waterfront, the mural was created in 2005 as part of a celebration of Hoboken's 50th anniversary. Children was asked to submit drawings of what they believed were important elements of Hoboken and the drawings were integrated into the mural design and painted by a group of volunteers with supplies provided by various local businesses.This colorful wall art, in primary colors, contains guitar, drums, keyboard and musical notes against a blue background. Kudos to the people who thought of the idea and all of the painters who executed it.
