This is MAGNIFICENT, OUTSTANDING, AWESOME, DEEP... I can't find words to describe the overflow of feeling and emotion around this piece. What a GRAND tribute, David! OMG! I just love this painting! A fav and vote...

Amazing work. Peace, O.

Dear David, This is first time viewing this phenomemal large and amazing painting. The details are so fine. It must have taken you a few days or months? I don't expect you to answer tha if you do not wish to do so.. I know that fine artists such as you prob. get tired of people asking "Wow, how long did it take to paint that?" Also this is an outstanding tribute. :Your new admirer, aew

David G Wilson replied:

Hello Ms. Whiteway, I must apologize for not responding in a timely manner. I never noticed your question. So, please accept my apology. This painting took two (2) months and two (2) days. I started work on it on June 26th, 1985 and affixed my signature to it on August 28th, 1985. I timed the completion to coincide with the twenty second anniversary of Dr. King's, "I Have A Dream" speech. It was a dutiful tribute to one of my greatest heroes whose death on that Thursday afternoon, April 4th, 1968 coincided with my mom's 57th birthday. I was in my second year at high school and never forgot that mournful evening when the news reached us in the Caribbean.

This peice is very creative. Where is this painting now.

David G Wilson replied:

I have it in storage.

I like your gallery and your artstyle!!!
