Central Park Bridge Autumn Serenade by Regina Geoghan. It is almost impossible to walk through Central Park in New York City without hearing or seeing street performers and artists, Classifical musicians, jazz, hip-hop,vocalists, face painting and more- on any given day a visitor to Central Park will experience quite a variety of entertaiment. On this particular afternoon, I encountered one that held my attention more than usual. As I was about to leave the park, passing by Gapstow Bridge for some late afternoon photos, the air was filled with beautiful, romantic violin music. As I got close to the bridge, I saw the violinist standing there with a bright red shirt, totally engrossed in his music, surrounded by gorgeous fall foliage. A beautiful way to end my day there. This photograph was digitally manipulated for a painterly effect because that was the mood that the violinist invoked for me - an enthereal, colorful, joyful moment in time on a beautiful autumn afternoon.
