Dirt road draped in spanish moss covered live oaks at the entrance to Botany Bay Plantation on Edisto Island just south of Charleston, SC. Nothing says "deep south" like a backwoods dirt road through a forest tunnel of live oak trees dripping in spanish moss. The old south plantation's history, nature, boneyard beach, lowcountry landscapes and more at Botany Bay are amazing. This is a wonderful place to visit if you are in the area near Charleston SC.
