Description
One of the designs of old Point Saint Charles housing were the row houses, built 120 years ago. These were all brick, with wooden casements. Often, the only way to get to the back of the homes was through the gateway arch. Sometimes this arch had a door with wooden treatments, other times it was just an opening. The horse and wagon, if it could be afforded, was stored in the back. These homes still exist, although they have been modernized in appearance. I prefer the original look.
