This squid was painted as a part of a basic squid anatomy poster, but here you see it floating cheerfully in the sea. The original drawing was done from previously live specimens that traveled back and forth between my freezer and drawing area while I worked on the project. They'd died to be eaten (and were purchased at a market) but instead became models. I hope I did them justice.
