Description
Of all the childhood memories I have of my father this one stands out!! No this little creek is not named childhood creek. I call it that because as a child my dad would take me fishing on Lake Tarpon, well to get to the lake we had to travel this little creek by boat. I was always so afraid that something would jump out of the bushes or trees and get us. The woods was as thick as they are now, but it was before the area became a park with trails. My dad knew I was afraid but he had to go slow, for fear of hitting a log or stump with his boat motor. I have long out grown the fear of this area, and totally love its beauty. But I will never for my days as a child with my dad on this little creek. "Childhood Creek"!!! The real name is Booker Creek.

This reminds me of a scene right out of the classic movie To Kill a Mocking Bird, Marvin. Beautiful B&W capture of a place that means so much to you! FAV / LIKE

Marvin, Such a beautiful capture. Both the image with it's delicate but mysterious lighting and the wonderful description of a precious love between father and child. The highlights of light on the lush vegetation is only surpassed by the highlights of your childhood memories. Beautiful tribute. l/f
