One of my favorite cacti, the hedgehog cactus. They have such a cute playful name. I have many of these growing in my desert acre. They produce those wonderful strawberry and magenta pink blooms. I have to photograph them as soon as they bloom, because the desert cottontail bunnies like them too. The Sonoran Desert is marvelous at giving us the joy of these beauties to capture. Thank you for sharing this variety of them, Judy. I will have to check out your YouTube video of the Sonoran Desert. There are 7 regions to the Sonoran Desert, I live in the Arizona Upland region. D: This is an old photo I just decided to do something with. I'm in the upland too (northwest Pinal County just south of the Estrellas). Right now I have prickly pear and barrel cactus on my land. When out hiking, I come across pin cushion and the cholla of course. Right now we are swamped with gorgeous orange globemallows! Thanks for checking me out!
