There is something about alley's that are kind of neat to me. People living way off the main road, its sort of cozy and private. Yet from an artistic standpoint, I liked the textures.
When I was a kid, I grew up playing adventure games. In those days, they didn't have 3D graphics, nope, when I was a kid, we used our imaginations. After that they came up with painted like backdrops, each had its own fantasy theme. That's what I was going after here.
I never have a chance to shoot at night, and images from a hundred years ago, didn't do well in the dark. So having the ability to color it in, I can make day into night. But that's only possible because the lighting is even, and the sky is overcast or cloudy. No specific shadows in play.
The location is Germany, I based it off of other images from that area, and signs there were written in German, it looked like German anyway.
