Description
Photographic artwork by Cindy Treger. Photographed near Lake Meade, East Berlin, PA. These two ruby-throated hummingbird, Archilochus colubris, went head to head in a clash to see who got the right to claim the branch. The one with the white tips on its tail is either a juvenile or female. The victory went to the adult male and he promptly claimed the branch as his own.
I authored and included many of my hummingbird photos in a book titled "Ruby-throated Hummingbird Facts and Photos." It has many hummingbird facts that are sure to fascinate you. It is available through Amazon.
