Description
It was my first day in Scotland. I couldn't wait to walk the Royal Mile. In all of my research, the guides told me to walk to the Edinburgh Castle and walk down the Royal Mile to Holyrood Palace. So that is just what I did! I concluded my day at Holyrood Abbey and Palace. I was beyond exhausted having just landed that morning. But I knew that if I wanted to be acclimate myself to Scotland's time zone, I had to push forward and stay awake all day! The tour around Holyrood was fantastic, but I just couldn't wait to get outside and take photographs of the landscape and the architecture. This is the last shot of the day. I knew that I needed to capture the magnificent clock tower with the Monarchy Crown built atop the tower. It is truly magnificent. The palace is amazing and for one or two weeks, Queen Elizabeth lives at the palace. While inside the palace, we saw many photographs of the Queen and her family. I could actually imagine her being there. I am sure the space that we saw wasn't the actual living quarters of the Royal Family, but the furnishings, photos and personal memorabilia gave the palace a homey feeling. Without a doubt, I could be persuaded to live here.
