I feel the same way. We live in Kansas and I love when the sky turns green and the sirens start going off. I just cross my fingers that everyone and their homes will survive it.

I have family in Missouri right next to the Kansas border. I remember visiting there as a kid and seeing some very weird skies, very ominous. It was exciting.
