Loved this onesie. Actually loved it so much I contacted the designer and had a special request to see if he could change the color of the FJ40 to match a friend of mines actual truck and he was more than willing to do it. So I ordered another onesie.

Artist's Description

Taken by my husband in a western Oregon forest. Picking a trillium seriously injures the plant by preventing the leaf-like bracts from producing food for the next year. A plant takes many years to recover. For this reason in some states it is illegal to pick and/or transplant trilliums from public lands without a permit from the State. Trillium is one of many plants whose seeds are spread by ants. At maturity, the base and core of the trillium ovary turns soft and spongy. Trillium seeds have a fleshy organ called an elaiosome that attracts ants. The ants extract the seeds from the decaying ovary and take them to their nest, where they eat the elaiosomes and put the seeds in their garbage, where they germinate in a rich growing medium.

About Linda Hutchins

I took photography both in high school and in college. Then I got sidetracked with raising 4 kids on my own, and becoming a registered nurse so that I could. Now my kids are grown and I'm now married to the love of my life. But I've never stopped taking pictures, and my husband has encouraged me to share some of my work with the world. So here are my humble offerings. Whether you choose to purchase any or not I hope that you will enjoy them. L
