Now called Ervatz, CF&I as it has been known for years, was a huge part of the Pueblo economy and employed the most people in steel manufacturing. For this image, I wanted a large plane of color in the building, with variation supplied in the sky. The original shot was taken from little more than a block from my home. The EPA has cracked down on emissions and most of the smokestacks have been torn down. This is part of my Pueblo-The Steel City series.
