Description

This image taken at Lee's Ferry at the head of Marble Canyon along the Colorado River is a glimpse of what we've lost in the American West. It is a very small example of the Glen Canyon Group of rock formations, now drowned behind Glen Canyon Dam which lies just upstream. The Vermillion Cliffs are now the most visible of these formations.
