La Boca is one of the most distinctive barrios of the Argentine capital Buenos Aires an dlies near the old port at the mouth of the Matanza-Riachuelo River ("boca" means mouth in Spanish). Many of its early settlers were immigrants from the Italian city of Genoa. Famous for the Boca Juniors football team, Diego Maradona and its quirky bright coloured buildings, it is a popular tourist attraction.
