Russell Cushman is one of a handful of contemporary artists who have established themselves equally as a painter and as a sculptor. Born in Houston, Texas, Cushman grew up under the tutelage of his mother and other area artists. But long before he was sculpting clay figures for his table mates when in Kindergarten.
