Description
This is the way they used to combine and thrash the seed from the chaff back in late 1800's. The Combine is in fore ground with the threshing machine in the rear of the field, it was always placed in a strategic place and the bean stalks mowed down by the cycle on the combine and the combine would bundle the bean stalks up in the small bundles you see laying around the field Another farmer would go by and pick them up and haul them to the thrasher leaving a large pile of stalks and chaff, which had to be burned away. This photo could have been taken back in 1889, but was captured in highland county Ohio in 2010. To view pricing click on the link http://fineartamerica.com/shop/randallbranhamphotos.html edit
