I am writing to share my thoughts regarding the zipper purse I recently ordered. While I appreciate the quality of the product, I was disappointed with its final appearance. Upon placing my order, I adjusted the image on the purse as allowed. However, upon receiving it, I noticed that the top portion of the subject's head was cut off, which detracted from its overall look. This was unexpected and quite disheartening. After reaching out to customer service for assistance, I learned about the template used during production. It was explained that similar issues could arise with future orders if adjustments are made. This information is valuable for my future purchases. While we briefly discussed a refund option, it required me to destroy the bag in order to receive a full refund. Although I'm not entirely satisfied with how it turned out, I recognize that it remains a perfectly usable purse. I want to emphasize that this issue does not reflect on the artist's talent; Stephen Hill is truly creative and skilled. Despite this experience, I remain open to making future purchases.

Your Zephyrus tote bag depicts an ad which was created in 1935 for the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad. The Zephyrus was a locomotive that they were promoting. The word Zephyr is from the Greek. It is the personification of the west wind and God of gentle breeze. It is also associated with Spring and flowers. Zephyrettes were train car attendants exclusively working in California Zephyr Dome cars. They wore suits with pencil skirts and pillbox hats, somewhat akin to a flight attendant, and were in service from 1936 to 1970 (except during the War years). They worked closely with the Conductor. Besides navy blue, over the years they wore brown, teal and gray suits as well as blue dresses with a white stripe down the side and green dresses with a similar orange stripe. In summer the suit was white worn with a navy blue blouse. I volunteer on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad which runs through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, just south of Cleveland, Ohio, and brought the Zephyrette to CVSR last July. I dress (the best part of the ensemble are seamed stockings!) and portray her when working in one of our Dome cars. She has been well-received by our passengers. Am including a photo of me in my brown suit holding your tote bag and I’m standing on the steps of our Silver Lariat Dome car, circa 1948. Also, I wear a Zephyr pin which you can see on my left lapel. So glad I happened to find your website while surfing the web. Your tote bag makes the ensemble complete and perfect. I also ordered one of your small zippered bags. Kind regards.
A convergence is a gathering together, a location in the sea where currents and inflow meet. In the artwork, Convergence, this meeting of movement and water takes place among a series of dramatic rockwork, and the best place to view this phenomenon is from above.
One would not wish to be physically amidst such a convergence. The energy and flow and sheer strength of the water would knock one against and into the rocks – Nature’s power, while it is majestic and awe inspiring, is also something to treat with respect and circumspection.
Hence, the best place to view Convergence is from above – especially during high tide.
The coastal scene from which Convergence is drawn is along the Oregon Coast of the United States, an area of intense visual interest simply because there are so many outcrops of rocks in the midst of the sea. Depending upon the time, the season, and the tide, areas such as Convergence change in their appearance and attitude. There is a fascinat...
I am a fine art painter who creates representational images celebrating light, life, and color. A commercial illustrator for more than 20 years, I have been painting for most of my life, and in the last 18 years have focused exclusively on fine art. I celebrate images that invite the viewer to step into the artwork and experience a sense of joy, peace, freedom, encouragement, meditation, and thought. There's a lot of angry art out there, as well as a lot of shallow pop. I choose to use the abilities and experience I have to promote beauty and goodness.

Another fantastic painting Steve! I have to wonder which ones hang on your walls?
Steve Henderson replied:
Most paintings have hung on our walls for at least a few days to a few years as they flow through shows, galleries or to other people's homes.

To the buyer from Michigan: May this artwork remind you always of the many possibilities in store for those who see and learn and act. Where land meets sea a new marvelous world is created — a thin strip of something not fully ocean and not fully land, an area of change, dynamics. Enjoy the view! Enjoy the possibilities!
