Covered bridges abound in my area of Transylvania County, NC, USA. This is a new bridge that goes over the Little River about 300 feet from the "High Falls, in DuPont State Forest (Little River, NC.)
Making a background, requires thought and some "let the paint do the work." Tissue paper is placed on a very thoroughly soaked watercolor paper: the more wrinkled the tissue paper, the better the results. Then mixtures of colors are "dropped" of painted on top of the tissue paper. The paint is left to dry, preferably in the sun. When dried, the tissue paper is removed, leaving the texture on the Watercolor paper.
