It's a fisherman's take-off spot of that beach. When they return early in the morning with their catch, their boats seem to crash on the shore with speed (but they really don't crash). That's where the name comes from. Its waters are crystal clear blue, and it is a great bathing beach, since it's in a semi cove. The houses that you see on the painting, are no longer there; unless they were re-constructed by now (sometimes that happens). I've painted a landscape with a structure that later got swept away by a storm. I came back to feel the emptiness of what was a beautiful landmark. Years later, it got replaced by something bigger or by nothing.

what an interesting name for a beach ... i really want to visit Puerto Rico one of these days ...
