In this series I am playing with different scales of pattern, contrasting small dots, strips, or type, with larger motifs and solid colors. It’s sort of like piecing fabrics for quilts. I paint all the papers, then cut, tear, arrange, glue, and paint some more. Fun!

Jane Davies is a full time artist working in collage, painting, and encaustics.
