A collection of antique / vintage medicines found in an antique store in New Market Maryland. Not sure how much good any of these did for the sick back in the day, even when they were new. But then again ... sometimes one wonders about the modern medicines too.
Very happy to announce that two of my images, this one ... Cure Ya Or Kill Ya ... and The Olde Apothecary Shop ... tied for first place (or one came in first and one came in second, ;)) in the Fine Art America contest "Hospital View" sponsored by the "In Sickness And In Health" group August 27, 2017. Image taken in July of 2009 with the Nikon D300 and the 18-200mm vr Nikon / Nikkor lens. Lots of editing in lots of different programs to create that old, vintage grungy look ... including Photomatix Pro, Photoshop CS4 and 5, Adobe Camera Raw, and Capture NX2.
