Thanks Aizen, for featuring my image in the group, http://fineartamerica.com/groups/galaxy-of-wizards.html

Hi Brian, thanks for your 'natural' comment. Actually I have a 3D painting which does not need anything to see in real 3D if you stand in front of it to view. (a not so good photo of it is somewhere in my portfolio, but it needs your cross-eyed technique to see the 3D effect) :-)

Brian Wallace replied:

The method of viewing "cross-eye" is pretty much the same for viewing those "Magic Eye" type of abstract images that have a hidden image or subject/object within them which is revealed when focused correctly with the eyes.

Thanks Jim, for featuring my image in the group, http://fineartamerica.com/groups/what-question-mark--3-a-day.html

Your 3D photo works instantly with me. I think the trick, for beginners, is to cross eyes very slowly. :-)

Brian Wallace replied:

You're a natural Hartmut! Thanks for letting me know you're successful with this method of viewing 3D stereo.

Congratulations on being featured in the Fine Art America Group "Images That Excite You!"

Thanks John, for the comment, fave, and feature in the group, http://fineartamerica.com/groups/images-that-excite-you.html

Round Beach Towel Reviews (29)

Average Rating (5 Stars):

The beach towel is really just for laying on inasmuch as it is too big and heavy to put around your body, which is just fine. The artwork in it is beautiful. I can't wait to use it.

I bought this as a gift. I love it! Hope the receiver loves it too!

Wow - I didn't realise it was going to be that big! It's a gift for a young member of the family - I think he'll be thrilled as he's a tractor fanatic at 6 years old. A practical gift too. The towel has a smoother upper side so it'll be more comfortable to sit on at the beach. It seems to have a thick absorbent power so no usual skinny beach towel.

very nice, love the colour not keen on the white tastle border but i like it, i'm going to use it as blanket for my hamock,

Artist's Description

3D stereo crossview image of the Currituck Beach Light Station in the Corolla Village - Outer Banks, North Carolina. To view this 3D stereo format, have the entire side-by-side image within view and then gently converge (cross) your eyes and focus on the middle image that appears while ignoring the outside. Not everyone is successful with this 3D viewing method but if you are, it becomes easier each time and eventually 2nd nature.

About Brian Wallace

I'm a retired communications instructor/developer, raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland (USA). I have a wide range of interests which include some artistic talent. My eclectic tastes, thirst for variety, and preference for images over words, eventually lead me through the internet to the world of 3D stereo in 2005. Since I've been with Fine Art America, I've focused primarily on regular photography with a touch of digital manipulation to better compose the images and ideas. Each time I think I've reached a peak, I find myself crossing another threshold that challenges my abilities and talents while paving way to another plateau.
