The bottom seam was stitched so closely to the dinosaur that the legs of the animal were incorporated into the seam and ruined the appearance of the overall design. This has occasionally been a problem with other designs and seam stitching. Quality control not in place. An accurate replacement should be provided. This was to be included in young granddaughter's birthday package. Was unsuitable to gift.

This product was stitched well and the image as featured on the FineArtAmerica site was positioned on the finished zippered pouch as promised.

Quality of product, placement of image was better. Actual placement of lettering of "enjoy the Ride" did not all appear on same side of zippered pouch. Only "the Ride" appeared on the front panel with the bike. In view of timing to provide this as a gift to my granddaughter I no longer have possession of the pouch for photographing. This can be achieved if needed in order to prove my point and to provide the customer a better finished product as featured on their FineArtAmerica site.

Poor quality control of seaming alignment did not allow full image as shown on original FineArtAmerica page. Below you will see how unsuitable the final product assembly and stitching was. A corrected zipper pouch to reflect the design placement as promoted should be provided to customer.

Artist's Description

DU Rounds is a project I stumbled onto one day reading a UK newspaper, I came to this image of a soldier handling DU rounds (depleted Uranium). I didnít give it much thought; I just thought at the time that it was an interesting image I might use in the future. About 3 or so months went by and I had totally forgotten about the image, when it came up again. So, I thought Iíd do an etching of it trying a new technique, incorporating sign making industry techniques and technology into the old world art of etching, I tried it a couple times before with some interesting results. So I gave it a shot. It was rough in the beginning because I didnít have a path for this plate to go down until a good friend told me that to make the piece more interesting I should paint some paper and print on that. I did and found it fun and interesting so I kept on going for about 10 more. Then is when I had an epiphany, that this would be a project that could help a lot of people. My father is a Vietnam vet wh...

About Erik Paul

I started my artistic journey as a child, in the early 90s I stumbled upon my passion, printmaking. On a whim and needing 3 more college credits, I added Beginning Etching to my class schedule taught by renowned print maker Kevin Fletcher, who later became my mentor and very dear friend. I was amazed to find that you could make art by just taking a copper, zinc or most any other metal or flat material, to print multiple copies of your artwork. It was like a light bulb went off in my head, I always loved working with my hands, building cars (VWs), furniture, sculptures, and just figuring out how things work in general. Professionally, I made a career in graphic design and sign making. I found that this worked hand in hand with my...
