I fell in love with this photo the day that Jan posted it. The cards are beautiful, frame able for a small space. I like that they have plenty of room for writing or doodling inside.

Love dragons this card was even better in person when it arrived.
This dahlia painting was inspired by a reference photo from the Point Defiance Rose and Dahlia Garden in Tacoma, Washington. It is tough to get out and paint in person during this time of year in the Western Washington USA area due to the constant rain so it is important to have a stash of reference photos to work from. The original watercolor painting is 10"x14" in size and is painted on Arches 140# cold-pressed paper using a combination of Rublev, Sennelier, and Daniel Smith watercolor paints.

Single blooms make great subjects - and this is a beauty!!!!
Ken Powers replied:
Thank you Richard! I have to admit that I love painting single blooms.
Marsha Elliott
Great light and shadows as well as dimension. The top petals look like they're standing right off the page!
Ken Powers replied:
Thank you Marsha! I have been trying to focus on light and shadow lately in order to aid in depth and three-dimensionality. Still experimenting though!
