I bought this mug for my Daughter Liesel and she's a fan of Clifton Mill. Especially during Christmas! A great mug and it reflects the mill during the holiday season.

This is a great picture. Shout out to John Boyd on his photography. The mig of this however is blurry and I’m disappointed. The original picture is not blurry, so I’m not sure why the print is.

Artist's Description

Saxophonist Milton Lewis took an amazing photograph of his friend and fellow musician, David Juaricki, at the Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy, and I asked for his permission to paint from it. David was an incredible guitarist and vocalist, whose music touched any listeners soul. He died much too early, and the world is sadder for it. I wanted to work in a long, thin format, and painted it on a roofing slate. When his widow saw it, I gave it to her, and she commissioned another. Then I found a canvas in the dimensions I thought appropriate, and painted it in intense colors with acrylics. As I painted him, I was flooded with memories of David, his beautiful voice, his uncanny musical ability, and subtle (but hilarious) sense of humor/

About Beverly Boulet

Louisiana born artist Beverly Boulet began art studies at age four, and, luckily, had art classes all through elementary and high school, plus Summer art camps. Ms. Boulet began painting murals and portraits in the early 1970s at the Maryland and New Jersey beaches, and continued to do so upon returning to New Orleans in 1980. She has painted, literally, thousands of portraits in water media, pastel, and oils, which grace public and private collections internationally. She has, also, exhibited and garnered awards in group and juried shows,...
