This piece was a study painting, I've taken several photos of bears at the Olympia Game Farm and I picked this one, it's my favorite.
I like to experiment with different mediums other than pastels such as acrylics, oils, watercolors and watercolor pencils. Also paints on different surfaces such as ornaments, leather, tree conks, old crosscut saw blades and rocks. When I'm not in my studio painting, I take road trips in various places taking photos as a reference to my painting. I'm also taking up some photography and loving it!
