Super high quality print, very happy with my purchase !!
This is one of the first paintings ever done by Jeff McJunkin (circa 1980). There was an old home site near where he grew up, and he took a photograph of it. He then painted this landscape using that photo as a guide. The fall colors, old bell, split rail fence, and rain barrel add just the right touch to the setting of this old house. The original painting has been hanging in the artist's house since it was finished. The original is currently framed in 3" wood planking that came from the house after it was torn down in the early 1980's. It is now for sale to the right buyer! You can get the frame free with the purchase of the original painting. Prints, giclees, and cards are available through FineArtAmerica.
Jeff McJunkin is an artist, painter, and photographer. He began painting almost thirty years ago, doing landscapes and portraits. Later he bought a camera to photograph potential scenes for his paintings, but ended up falling in love with his snap shot images. This led to wedding photography, portraits, etc... both photographed and painted. Art is creation, and he does love to create. Please take a few moments and look through his portfolio. your work is wonderful ... sometimes I have a hard time figuring out if it is a photo that digitally worked or a painting :) v
Jeff McJunkin replied:
Thank you Atousa... This was my for real, very first HAND painting. I love to paint, but I have ADD & SOS (Shiny Object Syndrome), I have the attention span of a gnat, lol... I really have to discipline myself to paint rather than Photoshop. (It's just WAY too easy ;)
