What a great way to express an ordeal. I'm a Frida Kahlo fan as you will understand from my profile picture. The most significant part of her paintings was using symbolism as a tool to show the world her pain she was going trough. I thinks this is a very powerful technique which sucks you into the moment. For me your painting as good as one of Kahlo's pieces, masterfully done.

Thank you Sheri! This painting is how I dealt with the death of my mother in 2008. I exhibited it once (although that was not the reason for painting it) and spoke to people about it. That helped my grief tremendously.
