Death Of Culture
Painting - Coloured Graphite Pencils On Paper
In this coloured pencil picture I concentrate on Japan and it's culture.
To explain it briefly, it is the social battle between ancient, traditional Japan and modern, flashy new Japan with it's new, diversing generation.
The women to the right represents a cosplayer (a friend of mine posing), the bright logos and emblems all trademarks and images found on mundane food packages or gifts you can buy nowadays everywhere.
The dragon is a symbol of ancient Japan, All In all, the image shows how the culture is dying as a "new" one emerges.
