This scene, a composite of two of my photographs, reminds me of a time long ago when my high school buddies and I would head out in old beat up pick-ups to the Cascade Mountains west of Yakima, Washington to hunt deer on October weekends.
I've lived in Alaska since 1986, moving here from my hometown of Yakima, Washington. My wife Becky and I have two grown children and 6 grandchildren, all of them living near us here in Wasilla. I have been a carpenter, cabinet maker, newspaper publisher, printer, sales person and, of course, a photographer. Recently semi-retired I now have the time to pursue my photography with more zeal since I'm no longer saddled with a full time job and a family to support. Great Photo Ron! I really like your photos, of all the Alaska imense landscapes. I also still have my C3 somewhere in a closet, there must have been many of those in our day. I had an old rusted Chevy many moons ago, your picture brings back memories. Keep on taking those great Photos!
