About Carl Lucia
Former New Yorker, I've recently moved to North carolina after being in the publishing business. Now well into my fifties, I find the move very well suited to art and can now get back to my first love, an admitted obsession. I studied art back in the late '60's at Harpur College, Binghamton, NY. I'd won several awards back then and continued to paint when time allowed through the years. I work mostly in acrylic, though I do several watercolors a year. I like to keep my art simple, but it must have impact. I'm a big fan of Impressionism; especially Monet and Matisse.
