The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Desmids and sphagnum moss. Darkfield illuminated polarised light micrograph of Micrasterias apiculata desmids (green) amongst Sphagnum sp. moss leaves (colourful). Desmids are a common group of freshwater single-celled algae that have intricate cell walls. Micrasterias is highly adapted to nutrient poor, acidic water. Magnification: x200 when printed 10 centimetres wide.
