Amazing photo.

September 16th, 2018

This is simply stunning. I would rather put my phone face down now to always be able to see it. Seems to be holding up and not scratching so far with usage. Very pleased!

I bought this for my boyfriend who just bought a 2018 Harley. He loves it so much. It looks great. Just like the picture. Nice bright logo.

They're all fantastic. I should have ordered the thicker case though.

I love this piece of art. This is my second phone case with this picture and I am on my second t-shirt with the same image.

Artist's Description

Dogfish liver area. Light micrograph of a transverse section through the body of a lesser spotted dogfish (Scyliorhinus canicula), in the region of the liver (lower frame). At top, are the muscle blocks or myotomes (stripped pink) which surround the nerve cord (top circle) under which is the notocord. Most of the body cavity is filled by the liver (pink, U-shaped), with the central area containing the pyloric region of the stomach (folded pink area with cavities) and the spleen (dark purple area above stomach). The pectoral fins are at lower left and lower right. Magnification x14 when printed at 10 centimetres across.

About Dr Keith Wheeler

Science Photo Library was founded in 1981 by Michael Marten, one of the authors of "Worlds Within Worlds", a book exploring different ways to observe the universe - from electron micrographs, to images of earthrise taken from the Apollo spacecraft. When Marten started receiving requests for the beautiful images in the book, he had an idea of setting up Science Photo Library. Since then, Science Photo Library has continued to work alongside world acclaimed photographers and the leading science and medical experts to provide a central source of the best science and specialist imagery available. Although the collection started with scientific images, it has grown to encompass all aspects of science and their impact on everyday life.
