This cute little mushroom looks like a type of Bolete to me, but, as usual, I am not at all confident with the identification. It is looking like it's doing the shimmy or some specialty mushroom exercise, however - engaging little thing:>)
Timothy Myles, expert in the field of fungi, says it could be Boletus subvelutipes I can offer this Wikipedia page for you:

The picture was taken July 16, 2013, in Green Lane, Pennsylvania, USA.
I always wanted to try photography, and my retirement offered an opportunity to do just that. The natural world is my first love. Here you will find pictures of things both large (landscapes, for instance) and small (macro) that catch my eye. I hope the images serve as a window into the natural world many of you don't have the chance to see. In a sense, I'm trying to create a guided nature trail, sharing what information I have about the subject. I'm always grateful for new and better information and welcome all input. Learning is food for the mind and soul. Nothing is ever harmed in the picture-taking process, but some things that wander into our home (like spiders) are carefully removed from the house after they serve as "models"....

Thank you ever so much for coming by and helping me name three fungi! I find that even a genus can be confusing beyond reason;>)

I like your mushrooms collection Carol! This one is very appealing! L/F
Carol Senske replied:
Hello, dear Nicole! I'm delighted to see you here and I hope you're doing well. This winter seems to go on forever, doesn't it. Thank you ever so much for visiting and leaving this wonderful comment! I've been so tied up with getting ready for my first ever gallery show (Friday the 13th was the Meet 'n Greet night) that most things had to be put aside for a while. Hugs to you!
